On 7 July 2023, Land Registration Authority (LRA) Administrator Gerardo Panga Sirios witnessed the signing into law of the New Agrarian Emancipation Act in Malacañang Palace. 

The Agrarian Emancipation Act or Republic Act No. 11953 aims to alleviate the debt, including unpaid amortizations, interests, and surcharges incurred by the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

The LRA fully supports Honorable President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III in their aim to improve the welfare of our Filipino farmers, and ensure food security and economic growth in the country.
