On its 117th anniversary, the Land Registration Authority (LRA) will be introducing new services to improve its services to title owners and other stakeholders.
In a statement LRA said the recently launched Title Owner Identity Verification System (TOIVS) is designed to protect title from theft, and persons dealing with properties from false identity and misrepresentation.
According to Robert Nomar Leyretana, LRA deputy administrator, the personal identity of the owner or his authorized representative will be shown by entering a username and password in the LRA database linked to one’s title.
Another new service is the Transaction Preview Notice (TPN) which allows registered owners a chance to correct data in the entry and encoding stage of their transaction. This service minimizes user errors and eliminates the tedious process of correcting typographical errors in the titles.
Leyretana added that the LRA also recently launched Transaction Ready Program (TRP) and eSerbisyo Online. The TRP allows the registered owner to request in advance the searching and retrieval of his title while the eSerbisyo Online provides users the option to request for their certified true copies from their offices or homes.
He said the LRA will continue to improve its services to help the transacting public to save time and money in dealing with the agency.
