In the recently concluded 2nd State of the Nation Address (SONA) last 24 July 2023 of the Honorable President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos, Jr., he commend the recent accomplishment of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and partnering agencies in the success of the New Agrarian Emancipation Act. 

The new law will benefit 610,054 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) as it writes off Php57.5 billion of unpaid amortization, interest, surcharge, and penalties of existing loans of ARBs.
